Matt trained in surgery for 4 years before being struck
by lightning and converting to emergency medicine.
His alternative career to medicine would have been
combined movie, wine and food critic.
He loves applied anatomy and harnessing the power of
diagnostic imaging in his bare hands! His ultrasound
project will be evaluating POC biliary US as an
alternative to CT to guide ED management in patients
with acute pancreatitis.
Jon was born in Germany and raised in San Diego. He enjoys surfing thee ocean, travel, and fitness. He appreciates Ultrasound as a visual tool to help patients see their own physiology in real time. His combined international/ultrasound project will examine a 1-hour teaching curriculum designed for providers in St. Lucia.
